September’2017 – present: Vice President and Chief Science Officer of the American Association of Tissue Banks, a professional, non-profit, scientific and educational organization; the only national accrediting institution for tissue banking organizations in the United States with membership of more than 125 accredited tissue banks and 2,100 individual members, providing over 1.75 million allografts for more than one million life-saving or life-enhancing tissue transplants performed annually in the U.S., which is more than 90% of the total number of tissue transplants performed in the United States.
June’2001 to present (17 years): Chairman of the Advanced Surgery Steering Committee of the Euro-Atlantic Transplant Alliance (EATA), a public non-profit foundation providing highly specialized spinal deformity surgical care for indigent children with advanced life-threatening scoliosis in low-income regions overseas in collaboration with the US International Scoliosis Research Society.
